Process Control Technology Engineer

Major Responsibilities:
Execute project work according to engineering concepts, design calculations, P & ID’s(Process & Instrumentation Diagram) and other documentation for installations in field of major competence. Designs special systems as required;
Makes necessary changes in design or other corrections as a result of “trouble-shooting” instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems;
Analyzes and selects materials and/or equipment best suited for application requirements in instrumentation, controls and electrical power distribution;
Supports field construction activities including PCS(Polycarbonates) equipment check-out, tuning and start-up at Clients facilities. Verifies proper installation of systems;
Prepares comparison studies of installation and life cycle costs for various systems and other similar comparisons as requested;
Performs evaluation of process automation systems within Clients plants or at supplier’s location, for purpose of practical application and efficiency;
Acts as consultant in field of major competence for others in different areas of engineering.
Prepares and implements PCS standards;
Maintains an awareness of environmental and energy compliance requirements on each assignment and works to meet those requirement;
Prepares cost estimates for process control and electrical systems;
Prepares Appropriation Request documents.
Capability and Competence:
Master degree in a particular discipline of engineering (preferably in major of instrument or relevant);
Well versed in the fundamentals of process automation, instrumentation, and electrical engineering;
Good performance in oral and written communication is required;
Background in administration and strong leadership is required.
